Itty Bitty’s Moving

Hello my friends, I am in the process of transfering my blog to my new website – please check out the new website, and register there to continue following me while I’m in this strange time of transition!

With any luck within a week everything here will be there …

Thank you!

The Itty Bitty Boomer

Welcome Ms Paige Lynn

One probable downside to my divorce is that I was so looking forward to having this little girlie as my only grand daughter even if it was to be “step” … one good reason to stay friends with the soon-to-be-ex is watching this new little family as they grow.

It was a privilege to be included with their family on Tuesday morning when she came into this world, surrounded by mommy and daddy, 3 sets of grandparents and an uncle … such love.

You’ll do just fine, little girlie, you’ll do just fine!

Namaste – I honor you, little one – thank you for letting me hug you and give you kisses.

Let All Things Live With Loving Intent

The wheel continues to turn – another season is begun.

Another time of new beginnings – how appropriate!

Namaste – I honor you – and wish you smooth turnings of your wheel.

A Season Of New Beginnings

Spring is a time of renewal, rebirth – new beginnings – and in our family, there are two sweet new beginnings ….

Last Saturday, my stepdaughter and her fiance got married.  We’re waiting for the photographer’s pics – but here are a few we’ve gotten from friends to start with!

Proud Dad and Bride – Preparing To Walk Out And Down The Aisle. Dad’s comment –       “I have never been prouder of my baby girl – I didn’t know I could stand so tall”.

And here is the darling couple – I wish for them a lifetime of ordinary days – sprinkled with many happy ones, and a minimum of challenging ones.

And the other new beginning – my daughter and her sweetie are officially moving in together today – he is moving into the townhouse she rents from us.  I am happy for both of them to have found each other – and I readily admit that I feel more comfortable with him in her life than I have felt in years.  He is truly a good man!  To them I will say – always be sweet to each other ….

Two down, two to go?  The boys …

Wish you all a season of new beginnings –

Namaste – simply – I honor you!

Lifting The Veil ~ 12/21/12 ~ The End Or The Beginning?

A week or so ago I had a challenging Committee-Meeting-In-My-Brain (see my last post ..) and one of the things on the agenda was:

Agenda Item 4B – Is the world as we know it going to end on December 21, 2012?

And because I realized I didn’t understand the whole thing about 12/21/12, I decided to do some reading.  And what I came up with is that … rather than an apocalyptic end of the world scenario, the Maya calendar is simply cycling to end the “old” calendar and begin a “new” calendar, which they do every 5,000 years or so.

“Both the Hopis and Mayans recognize that we are approaching the end of a World Age… In both cases, however, the Hopi and Mayan elders do not prophesy that everything will come to an end. Rather, this is a time of transition from one World Age into another. The message they give concerns our making a choice of how we enter the future ahead. Our moving through with either resistance or acceptance will determine whether the transition will happen with cataclysmic changes or gradual peace and tranquility. The same theme can be found reflected in the prophecies of many other Native American visionaries from Black Elk to Sun Bear.” — Joseph Robert Jochmans

“An Apocalypse (Greek: “lifting of the veil” or “revelation”) is a disclosure of something hidden from the majority of mankind in an era dominated by falsehood and misconception, i.e. the veil to be lifted.” — Wikipedia

Now, being a good new-ager/pagan/baby boomer, I also centered in on the focus of the “new” calendar being the beginning of a “new age“, right?  And having grown up with a Maya calendar always around (my dad was Mexican/Indian – my Great-Tias (aunties) later told me the Indian part was, in fact, Mayan ancestry) maybe (or not) there is a bit of ancestral imprinting? (or not)

My point, however, is that wouldn’t it be nice for this big apocalyptic “end of the world” to be, in reality, not an end but a new beginning?  A lifting of the veil of falsehoods and misconceptions to a new era of enlightenment, self-realization, and greater (albeit gradual) peace and tranquility?

How will you enter the new World Age? We have the choice ….

And, even more, Namaste …

I honor you ….
